British Heart Foundation Chief Executive, Simon Gillespie, has been recruited to the Project at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospital, after being referred by Professor Anthony Wierzbicki. Simon joined the project as a result of his inherited, and unexplained, high cholesterol, and his article in the Guardian gives a great insight into the process of signing up to the project.

“My participation may help protect future generations from premature death caused by a heart attack or stroke.”
