The 100,000 Genomes Project team at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital recently held a focus group for participants from both the Cancer and Rare Disease routes of the Project. The afternoon began with a welcome session where Professor Frances Flinter (Consultant Clinical Geneticist) gave an update on the Project and its progress. This was followed by the focus group which was was facilitated by a Patient Engagement Officer who guided the discussion. After this, afternoon tea was served and attendees had the opportunity to meet the Project team.

Watch the video of the context behind the focus group and some behind the scenes interviews:

A total of 13 attendees took part in the focus group and shared their experiences of the Project. Read a full report of the key findings here.
